Hopefully building this room underground in the basement will help with noise dampening. We'll be outfitting it with extra sound-proof insulation, wood walls instead of Sheetrock, a loud television, and portable ac unit/heater for comfort and extra white noise. We plan to sleep in this bunker with Potato during the weeks with the most fireworks.
