Danger

Aerial fireworks are simply a type of explosive device. They utilize gunpowder just like firearms and bombs, which is why they are so dangerous. America alone averages 10 - 15 deaths per year and 10,000 - 15,000 injuries per year from fireworks. Even sparklers can cause severe burns because they burn at temperatures between 1,800° and 3,000° Fahrenheit. Unfortunately, even safe firework handling practices aren't always enough to protect you. Many firework injuries are not caused by unsafe handling, but by device malfunctions and premature explosions.
